The ATMs of the Patriarchy
It’s not men if that’s what you’re thinking.
I heard countless times on the Netflix show, Love is Blind Habibi, that “men are not supposed to be a woman’s ATM machine,” in some form or the other.
Let me tell you, men are absolutely never the ATM. I will fight people on this ground.
Women are actually the ATMs of the patriarchy, and almost no cash is ever deposited. Until women wake up and learn their worth, they’re never invested in. Men think solely about losing money, and women consistently think about losing their lives. The lack of care and value for pregnancy is one of those cases as well.
We go through so much in one lifetime, simply because the world is designed from the smallest ways to the biggest ways — — for men by men.
When women give up their careers, in order to have a family — and the man fails to provide because he thinks “women are sucking up his assets dry,” he fails to remember the sacrifice she made. Men consistently think with “main character energy.”
People start talking about the 1950s and how we shouldn’t go back — we haven’t gone anywhere, to be honest. It’s still the 1950s but with more discourse and women with bank accounts (that only happened recently FYI). It takes time for society to decondition — however, the lack of respect for household…
