My Journey With Kofi

Move over Buy Me a Coffee, Kofi is in town.

Donation platforms are the new way to make money in 2024.

While there was Patreon, now there are several, like Convertkit, Buy Me a Coffee, and Kofi.

So what have I learned?

Buy Me a Coffee had a limit on how much creators could earn. At the same time, Kofi does a way better job of this.

Have I excelled at it? Not yet, and here’s why.

Only recently have I seen content on it that would help in maximizing profit. It’s kind of like a subscription service for content.

That’s a solid idea, but I’m wondering when people buy that subscription. Some part of your content has to be for free.

The key is to build an audience like a newsletter! I have seen many flourish on this platform from it. The more consistency, the more reward.

Make sure the minimum is from $5 to $10.

I’ve personally been trying to see how to show tipping for stories on the medium, but I'm very confused.
