It’s So Easy to Tell Her

In today’s world, awareness might exist, but it doesn’t solve many problems.

It’s so easy to tell her, to dim her light among family and friends, but still be super ambitious when it comes to her dreams.

It’s so easy to tell her, “She’s got this,” whereas she needs support and is frightened.

It’s very very easy to verbalize everything to a woman, without digging deeper as to why systemic challenges add up for her.

We’re supposed to be resilient right? More importantly, we’re supposed to shoulder more of a burden simply because we’re women.

Throughout my whole life, I was told to shut up.

I can imagine this is a common scenario among a lot of women that I read about here. It’s so easy to tell us to shut up and put up.

Deep down we wonder what’s actually pulling us behind, and where it started from. Honestly, I think it starts with people hating their sensitive side — thinking everyone must shoulder hate from the external world.

Of course, the patriarchy doesn’t help either.

Being critical of someone’s emotional distress is extremely common, and that’s where we lose trust in each other as a society. Women do this to each other the most, as society…
