Family Isn’t The Same Anymore
Avoidant people and pain have a lot do to with our current social structure.
I envy the people who have large families.
Not for reasons like factoring in who has what — but they genuinely feel this safety of a tribe that I have rarely experienced.
There’s also a ton of negativity and chaos out there among family relations, and I often wonder how they think it’s appropriate to hurt each other when the meaning of a tribe is to flock together. You can still maintain individuality with that — -it’s not that hard.
However in today’s power structures of patriarchy, racism, and white supremacy — I feel like this was bound to happen.
My family is south asian, and that’s where years of trauma, especially from the British colonization affect everyone’s mindset.
Today, it seems like mediocrity and hypersexualization have distorted everyone’s perceptions. Our cultures and their roots have all the answers — mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
We just choose to remove our souls from true authenticity.
Independence, as per evolutionary studies, is equal to death because we’re not a part of the tribe. Now take that idea, and apply it to today’s society where…
