Consumerism is Annoying.
How our everyday lives are dominated by colonialism.
I'm sick and tired of buying stuff all the time, it's so annoying.
I feel like life is pointless when we just consume and there’s no limit to it. There’s always a product for this or a product for that — but never a stop to all the nonsense I see.
The same nonsense infiltrates Tiktok. Although it’s much better than Amazon and I support small businesses a lot more — I find it annoying how infiltrated the market is with stuff that either isn’t good for you or has the right ingredients.
Anything related to hair care, body care, or home care takes hours of research just to see if there’s one golden product with simple ingredients. Life should not be this complicated.
The influencers on TikTok that use that particular voice to convince you to sell XYZ, have me sold on how everyday marketing is on this app.
Skincare is not actually life-changing, it’s riddled with chemicals that have endocrine disruptors. Plastic has dominated every. single. thing.
Sourcing simple ingredients derived from nature, has me wondering, who began the commodification of nature?
Ah yes, back to the discussion of white men.
